Overview

Travelling on Deccan Odyssey is one of lifetime experiences in its own kind, is one of the Royal journeys and most genuine ways to resume and inspect the Incredible India.

Deccan Odyssey - Maharashtra Wild Trail, experiences the bundle of culture, wildlife and history while exploring the Ellora Caves, Buddhist art at Ajanta Caves, safari at Tadoba Tiger Reserve, wildlife at Pench National Park, religious city Nashik.

Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival in Mumbai - Ellora Caves

All guests are requested to arrive at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus by 1530 hours to fulfill their check in and registration formalities, before boarding the luxury train.

Welcome in an Indian traditional style by the luxury train staff followed by a refreshing drink on arrival, while boarding the train and briefing session.

Then your deluxe cabins were allotted and settled in your impressive cabins, as the train leaves to our first destination Aurangabad.

Delicious dinner and overnight stay onboard at luxury Deccan Odyssey.

Day 2: Aurangabad - Ellora Caves

Today, the Deccan Odyssey reaches its first destination, Aurangabad.

Enjoy breakfast on board.

Later proceed for Ellora Caves (UNESCO World Heritage Site) approx 30 km away from the main city. Explore 12 Buddhist, 17 Hindu and 5 Jain caves. The most important attraction of Ellora is a holy shrine devoted to Lord Shiva, Kailasa temple. The structure of the temple represents Mount Kailash, the Abode of Lord Shiva.

Return to the luxury Deccan Odyssey and enjoy lunch onboard as the train crosses through the rural landscapes.

Evening relax and enjoy the cocktails. Dinner and night stay onboard

Return to the World of class and luxury, Deccan Odyssey and freshen up.

Overnight on Deccan Odyssey.

Day 3 : Aurangabad

Breakfast on board. Today, to proceed for the Aurangabad sightseeing tour visit Bibi-ka-Maqbara, the mausoleum of Dilras Banu, Aurangzeb's wife.

Later, visit a facility which is known for weaving Himroo fabric. Himroo is considered a replica of Kum Khwab which was popular in the royal courts.

Return back to the luxury train for lunch onboard.

Indulge in recreational activities onboard, as the train proceeds for Pench National Park.

Night stay on a luxury train, Deccan Odyssey.

Day 4 : Pench National Park (Ramtek)

Today morning, breakfast on board.

Pench National Park, is popular for its rich biodiversity and well-known for its exotic flora and fauna, including 164 species of birds, 33 species of mammals, 10 species of amphibians, 50 species of fish, 30 species of reptiles and a wide variety of insect life.

Proceed for Pench National Park safari tour, to explore wildlife in its natural habitat.

Return back to Pench national park and enjoy delicious dinner onboard, as the train departs for the next destination- Tadoba, the land of the mighty tigers.

Night on Deccan Odyssey.

Day 5 : Tadoba Tiger Reserve

Today get ready for a thrilling morning safari, disembark the train for your early morning safari into the Tadoba Tiger Reserve, also known as the Land of Tigers. Spot tigers, wild dogs, leopards, sloth bears, gaurs (the Indian bison) and various species of deer, wild pigs and many more.

Enjoy your breakfast at the Tiger Trails lodge and then watch a documentary on wildlife.

Lunch at the lodge and then return back to Chandrapur station to board the luxury train.

Enjoy dinner and night stay on Deccan Odyssey as the train leaves for Jalgaon.

Day 6 : Jalgaon - Ajanta Caves

Today morning the train reached Jalgaon station.

Enjoy breakfast on board, then proceeds for the Ajanta Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

The caves are known for their architectural designs. The designs also depict a blend of Hindu and Buddhist faith.

Return to the train and enjoy a delicious lunch as Deccan Odyssey progresses towards the next city, Nashik.

Rest of the free for leisure, you can enjoy the amenities of the luxury train or you may enjoy rejuvenating massage in the spa.

Dinner and night stay onboard.

Day 7 : Nashik

Train reaches Nashik, enjoys breakfast then proceeds to visit Godavari Ghat.

Experience holy rituals being performed while taking a walk along the Godavari Ghat.

Along the ghat explore the local markets which have everything including fresh vegetables, pulses, lentils and seafood.

Visit Grover Zampa Vineyards, explore the finest brands of wine made through 'méthode traditionnelle' along the vines laden with Chenin, Chardonnay and Shiraz grapes which serves the best Indian wine. Later, Wine lovers enjoy a variety of wines such as white, rose, red and sparkling wines served with their lunch at vineyards.

Delicious dinner and overnight stay onboard, as the luxury train leaves for its next destination, Mumbai.

Day 8 : Mumbai Departure

Today the train arrives in Mumbai. Enjoy your breakfast meal on-board the train.

As our Deccan Odyssey journey completes, de-board the train with sweet memories to proceed to the next destination.

Cost are per Cabin per Journey.
Presidential Suite can accommodate up to 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children (Applicable for Children below 12 years).
5% GST (Govt. Tax) additional.
Prices are subject to change incase of price hikes such as fuel, taxes etc.
Child rates are applicable from 6 to 12 years.

Arrival and Departure transfers.
International and Domestic air tickets.
Pre and Post tour accommodation and any tour extensions unless specifically mentioned as a part of the journey.

Child Policy
One child up to 5 years of age shall be allowed free of cost in the Deluxe Cabin, subject to sharing of double bed with parents. This is subject to availability of double bed at the time of booking.
For families, with a child between 6-12 years of age, or, with two children with one child below 5 years and another between 6-12 years, we recommend the Presidential Suite which has a double bed in the bedroom and can be shared with a child below 5 years and a sofa cum bed in the living room which can accommodate the older child. In this case, the child/children will be accommodated free of cost.
In case of two children between 6-12 years of age travelling with their parents, you will have to take 2 cabins. The first child pays 25% of the adult fare and the second child will have to pay 50% of the adult fare. One of the parents will have to be present with the child / children in the cabin.
Kindly note that we do not have the facility for interconnecting cabins.
All applicable taxes will be charged extra.

Booking Policy
Pay 20% of ticket value at the time of booking confirmation.
Balance 80% of the ticket value is to be paid 45 days before departure.

Cancellation Policy
Any cancellation must be advised immediately by Email.
If the cancellation is made 60 days prior to departure, no cancellation charges.
20% of ticket value 45-59 days prior to departure.
50% of ticket value 30-44 days prior to departure.
100% ticket value will be retained, if cancelled 29 days prior to commencement of Train journey.
