Overview

The Deccan Odyssey - Indian Sojourn, offers the great lifetime experience of immense luxury and royalty of its kind.

Itinerary
Warm welcome, while aboard the luxury Deccan Odyssey - Indian Sojourn.

Requested all guests to reach the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus at Mumbai Railway station by 1530 hours, to fulfill the check in formalities for smooth check in and boarding the train. 
 
The Indian Sojourn journey begins with a traditional Indian welcome and a welcome drink.

The train leaves from Mumbai for the next destination Vadodara. Dinner on board.

Night stay on Deccan Odyssey.
Enjoy breakfast on board.

Then proceed to visit Champaner Pavagadh Archaeological Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. 

Later, pay a visit to the Great Mosque or Jami Masjid. The structure features a blend of Hindu and Muslim architectural styles.

Return back to the luxury train for a leisurely lunch onboard.

After lunch, proceed to the Maharaja Fateh Singh Museum, a popular attraction of Vadodara.

Enjoy evening high tea at the grand Laxmi Vilas Palace, enjoy a folk performance of the region.

Return back to the luxury train, as it proceeds for Udaipur, the city of lakes.

Night Stay on Deccan Odyssey.
Morning train reaches Udaipur, city of lakes.
 
Enjoy breakfast while seeing the beautiful landscape of the Aravali hills. 

Then proceed to visit the famous City Palace, one of the largest palaces in Rajasthan. Visit the Crystal Gallery and enjoy a boat cruise on Lake Pichola.

Return back to the train for a delicious lunch.

Later, proceed for a walking tour of the Old City of Udaipur and explore local markets famous for handmade papers, handicrafts, puppets, wall hanging, cloth lanterns, jewellery, paintings, painted wooden boxes, brassware, terracotta sculpture and pottery.

Evening, return to the luxury train and enjoy dinner as the train departs for Jodhpur.
Morning delicious breakfast onboard. 

Then proceeds to explore the Marwar region of Jodhpur. Step out to visit weaver’s village, potter’s village and The bishnoi village. 

Expereince, the lives of the locals and see how their traditions and skills are carried on through the years. 

Return to the train and enjoy lunch onboard the train.
 
Later, proceed for a Jodhpur sightseeing tour. Explore the beauty of the Blue City- Jodhpur. 

Visit the magnificent Mehrangarh Fort, one of the most popular attractions of Jodhpur in Rajasthan, with a view of Jodhpur city from top of the fort. 

In the evening, enjoy dishes, barbeque delights will be served in the royal courtyard of Mehrangarh Fort.

Return back to the luxury train, as the train departs for the next destination, Agra.

Night stay on the train.
Today after a leisurely breakfast onboard, proceed to visit the Taj Mahal, (one of the Seven Wonders of the World) (also UNESCO World Heritage Site).  

Lunch is scheduled at a luxury restaurant in Agra city. After lunch, visit Agra Fort. 

Then return to the train to proceed for Sawai Madhopur (Ranthambore) to our next destination.

Dinner on board and night stay on the train.
After reaching Sawai Madhopur, proceed to Ranthambore national park which is 14 kms away. 

Now, get ready for a thrilling game ride at Ranthambore National Park, one of the largest tiger reserves in India. Ranthambore national park is best-known for its several endangered species of fauna and avifauna including Tiger, Wild boar, Chital, Sambhar, serpent eagle, Nilgai, and flycatchers.

Return back to the comforts of a luxury train for delicious Lunch. 

Enjoy  the other amenities of luxury trains and rest of the day free for leisure activities. 

Dinner served on board the train and night stay on the train, as it leaves for next destination Jaipur. 
Morning arrives at Jaipur station, enjoy breakfast on board. 

Today is reserved for a visit to most famous and most visited by travelers from all over the world, The Amber Fort, a World Heritage Site mix of Hindu and Muslim architecture. Experience Elephant ride or Jeep ride for entering the fort. 

Enjoy lunch at the luxury city hotel of Jaipur. 

Later, visit City Palace, Palace of winds.

Evening explore the local market of Jaipur and enjoy the day leisurely doing activities of your interest and choice.

Return to train, as the train leaves for Delhi soon after. 

Enjoy a lavish dinner on the train. Night stay on the train. 
Today morning we reached Delhi, and the Deccan Odyssey tour is going to be completed. 

Reaching Delhi Cantt railway station early in the morning will carry on with your onward journey back home with sweet memories.

  • Cost are per Cabin per Journey.
  • Presidential Suite can accommodate up to 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children (Applicable for Children below 12 years).
  • 5% GST (Govt. Tax) additional.
  • Prices are subject to change incase of price hikes such as fuel, taxes etc.
  • Child rates are applicable from 6 to 12 years.

  • Pre and Post tour accommodation and any tour extensions unless specifically mentioned as a part of the journey.

    Child Policy
  • One child up to 5 years of age shall be allowed free of cost in the Deluxe Cabin, subject to sharing of double bed with parents. This is subject to availability of double bed at the time of booking.
  • For families, with a child between 6-12 years of age, or, with two children with one child below 5 years and another between 6-12 years, we recommend the Presidential Suite which has a double bed in the bedroom and can be shared with a child below 5 years and a sofa cum bed in the living room which can accommodate the older child. In this case, the child/children will be accommodated free of cost.
  • In case of two children between 6-12 years of age travelling with their parents, you will have to take 2 cabins. The first child pays 25% of the adult fare and the second child will have to pay 50% of the adult fare. One of the parents will have to be present with the child / children in the cabin. 
  • Please note that we do not have the facility for interconnecting cabins.
  • All applicable taxes will be charged extra.

    Booking Policy
  • Pay 20% of ticket value at the time of booking confirmation.
  • Balance 80% of the ticket value is to be paid 45 days before departure.

    Cancellation Policy
  • Any cancellation must be advised immediately by Email.
  • If the cancellation is made 60 days prior to departure, no cancellation charges.
  • 20% of ticket value 45-59 days prior to departure.
  • 50% of ticket value 30-44 days prior to departure.
  • 100% ticket value will be retained, if cancelled 29 days prior to commencement of Train journey.
