Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrive Leh

Arrival at the Leh airport (Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport), pick up and transfer to the pre booked hotel. Day free for leisure and body acclimatization. Evening proceed to visit Shanti Stupa, Leh palace and Leh local market. Night stay in Leh.

Day 2 : Leh Local Sightseeing (105 KM / 5-6 Hrs)

Morning drive to Sindhu Darshan later to visit Shey Palace, The ancient capital of Ladakh and Thiksay Monastery located on top of a hill; the Monastery is an excellent example of Ladakhi architecture contains several Stupas, Statues, Thangka, Wall Paintings and a large pillar depicting Buddha's teachings. Later, drive to visit Hemis Monastery, which was built in 1630, the largest monastic foundation of Drukpa Kagyu Order of Tibetan Buddhism and it houses some beautiful Wall Paintings, Thangka and several other historic objects. Visit the Stok Palace Museum. Return back to Leh in the evening. Night stay in Leh.

Day 3 : Leh to Pangong Lake to Leh (290 KM / 10 - 11 Hrs)

Early morning leave for Pangong Lake (14,500 ft) through Changla Pass 17,350 ft, 3rd highest motorable road in the world. Pangong Lake is the largest high altitude salt water lake in Asia, shared by two countries India & China. Enjoy the turquoise color panoramic lake and the sun set on the banks of the lake with magnificent mountains. Then return back to Leh by the same route. Night stay in Leh.

Day 4 : Leh – Khardung-La – Leh (50 KM / 02 Hrs one way)

Today we proceed to Khardung La pass, World’s highest Motorable road at 18380 feet. Explore the spectacular views of the never ending snow-capped mountain ranges around Khardung La Pass (18,390 feet) after spending some time at Khardung La, return back to Leh, Later day free to explore the local market at one’s disposal. Night stay in Leh.

Day 5 : Leh

As per flight schedule time, early morning transfer to Leh airport to board flight back to onward destination with Sweet Memories of Ladakh.
